Philip Sharpe (Shirley 1949-55) 
Cricketer Philip Sharpe was selected for England for the first time in 1963 and played in twelve Tests from 1963 to 1969. Philip went on to win seven County Championships with Yorkshire and after his playing days were over, served as an England Test selector.
