Mastering the Art of Interviews - Speed Interviewing
In preparation for the future, Year 10 pupils have been given a unique opportunity to engage in mock interviews facilitated by dedicated parents and Old Worksopians. Interviews are an inevitable part of our pupils' future journeys, so experiences such as these are invaluable. This initiative instills confidence and professionalism in the students, equipping them with essential skills for their future endeavors.

A Journey Through Adversity - Louise Prestwich
Louise Prestwich's journey began as a cross-country athlete for Great Britain until glandular fever struck twice, temporarily halting her career. Undeterred, she joined the army for special protection services before venturing into entrepreneurship, successfully establishing two businesses. Facing hospitalisation due to a major injury, Louise emerged resilient and determined. Harnessing her experiences, she founded the Switch Lifestyle Group, a testament to her commitment to helping others transform their lives positively. Louise's story is one of resilience, adaptability, and an unwavering spirit, inspiring others to overcome challenges and emerge stronger.

Sarah Maskell - Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
Sarah is the Director of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at Guy's and St Thomas'​ NHS Foundation Trust. Previously, Sarah has worked for the RAF, ensuring equality and diversity is firmly on their radar.

For her efforts, Sarah has been recognised and rewarded with numerous awards. In 2015, she achieved Corporate Straight Ally and in 2016 she was awarded the Head of Diversity Award. She was also awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List. Sarah will be speaking to our Year 11s about diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace.

Empowering Voices: The Power of Podcasting - James Marriott
James is the founder of Sound Media and heads up our strategy and development work with clients. He specialises in helping people and brands right at the start of their podcast journey. James started podcasting as a bit of fun while in a radio management role and things spiralled from there. He's got over 20 years of experience in broadcasting and still does a bit of radio work in his spare time!


Success Beyond the Boardroom - Adam Corbally
We are excited to welcome Adam Corbally, renowned entrepreneur and former BBC's The Apprentice contestant, to lead an enterprise morning with our Year 9s. At 16, Adam faced the daunting prospect of leaving home and school with no qualifications and seemingly no hope. However, against all odds, he found the courage to return to education, ultimately transforming his life. Now, Adam is on a mission to inspire our Year 9s. During this session, Adam will encourage our students to brainstorm and develop a business idea that not only generates income but also contributes positively to the environment and society. It will be a morning of creativity, entrepreneurship, and practical lessons as Adam shares his insights, guiding our Year 9s toward their own paths of success.

From Royalty to Raves - OW Harriet is a seasoned event professional with a track record in delivering unparalleled entertainment and production experiences across a spectrum of events, ranging from large-scale sports spectacles watched by millions to intimate celebrations. As a key member of Accept, a premier event management, Harriet has played a pivotal role in shaping and executing events that leave a lasting impact. Harriet boasts an impressive decade-long tenure in delivering entertainment and production for the iconic Epsom Derby, and other large scale events, such as the Queen's Funeral. Furthermore, Harriet holds the position of Vice Chair at NOWIE - The Network of Women in Events. This role becomes particularly relevant and compelling to delve into on International Women's Day, reflecting her dedication to empowering and connecting women in the events industry.

Lesson's Learned from BBC's The Apprentice - Adam Corbally
Adam Corbally, former contestant on BBC's The Apprentice, will lead our Year 7s through an enterprise morning. Adam's life journey, marked by leaving home and school at 16 with no qualifications, followed by a triumphant return to education and entrepreneurial success, is a fantastic message of resilience for our pupils. Drawing on his experiences from The Apprentice, Adam will guide our students to brainstorm innovative products or services aimed at improving school life. This opportunity provides a mix of entrepreneurship, creativity, and personal growth, inspiring our students to forge their own paths and redefine success.

The TikTok Revolution: Transforming the Digital Landscape - Leala Jackson and Courtney Alves
Courtney Alves works in Social Media and Copywriting, helping businesses who are struggling to find the right words. She writes compelling, valuable and relevant content from blogs, newsletters, social media posts and paid ads - capturing the true essence of every brand's story online. Leala Jackson is the Creative Director at CNS Media, planning and delivering a creative strategic vision for clients and the company. She uses video, organic content and advertising to output her creative content, which she sees from concept to completion. On the side, Leala is a micro-influencer running her own foodie Instagram account called Meats and Cheats. From Reels to TikToks - together the pair will lead a session with our Year 7 pupils, letting them in on the secrets to a successful marketing campaign.

Adam's personal journey, starting from leaving home and school at 16 with no qualifications, resonates deeply as he defied the odds to rewrite his story. Returning to education became the pivotal moment where Adam charted a new course, not just achieving financial success but finding happiness and fulfillment. Now, he brings his wealth of experience and passion for positive change to our Year 8s. Under the theme "plastic is a problem", Adam will guide students in brainstorming innovative products or services aimed at tackling the single-use plastic crisis.
