After weeks of hard work and learning about the many triumphs (and tribulations) of women across the globe and across history, Worksop College’s very first Women’s History Month Showcase took place on Friday 29 March.
The sun certainly shone bright for runners at the Old Worksopian (OW) Dorm Run on Saturday 30 March, as the College played host to the cross-country event for the second year in a row.
On Wednesday, our U11A Boys’ Hockey team were the victorious winners of the U11 Hockey Tournament held at S. Anselm’s School.
As part of their transition to senior school our Year 5 students took part in an Outdoor Education Day at the College on Monday.
This weekend, Year 9 pupil, Amelia Chrispin travelled with her Nottinghamshire Schools XC team, to represent Worksop College and Nottinghamshire in the English Schools XC Championships.
Our Exeat proved to be popular once again with twenty two students remaining at the College for a relaxing weekend of food and fun.
Year 10 cadets have been learning the skills of camouflage and concealment during the CCF Army Section Field Day.
Hard work and perseverance paid off for Year 13 pupil, Will Harding-Terry.
The 1st XV produced a tremendous performance against a strong Samuel Whitbread team, in the semi-final on Saturday 9 March at Allianz Park.
There was a buzz of excitement amongst the Friday night boarders, as Ranby House welcomed some special furry friends.
Undoubtedly, the world has become more equal – with opportunities for women far exceeding those afforded to generations gone by. But there’s still more to do – and today we come together with women across the globe in celebration of International Women’s Day 19, with a focus on #balanceforbetter; a call-to-action for driving gender balance across the world.
Last weekend saw Will Harding-Terry and his family travel to Stourbridge to earn his place in the England Counties (Midlands Division) Rugby U18 Team.
