As part of the Geography GCSE curriculum, our students are investigating a tourist destination and the issues impacting sustainability in the area.
Pupils have been studying Machu Picchu, bringing the environment to life using our virtual reality room.
Geography teacher, Mr Heeramun said:
“Having spent the summer touring South America, it has been wonderful to reminisce and bring some of this experience back to the classroom.”
The experience proved very popular with the students. Year 10 pupil, Alicia said:
“It was so cool to see the surroundings of the Machu Picchu. The VR is so realistic and really helpful when understanding the different environments.”
