Walking up the paupers’ path towards The Workhouse it is easy to imagine how the Victorian poor might have felt as they sought refuge here.

Our Year 6 pupils paid a visit to Southwell, the most complete workhouses in existence.

Here the pupils had the opportunity to experience what life was like for the poor in the Victorian age and reflect on how society has tackled poverty through the centuries.
