Sixth Form

Studying Geography facilitates a wide range of skills which are beneficial in Further Education and sought after by future employers. To emphasise and explain this to our students, three undergraduates from the University of Sheffield were welcomed to the College, giving a lecture to our Sixth Form students which covered a range of topics but also focused on the local phenomenon which is Park Hill and Tent City in Sheffield.

The undergraduates commented on how informed, inquisitive and engaged our pupils are, whilst Year 12 student, Nick Lowe, said: “I thought that the lecture was useful in that we are studying similar topics to the people who presented. It was nice to get their interpretation of how Sheffield is transforming as a space and place.”
